Give a much-loved piece of clothing some Little Cub magic. ♡
Send us a special piece from your little one's wardrobe and we'll hand embroider one of our whimsical designs directly onto the garment — creating a one-of-a-kind piece they'll treasure.
From tiny birds and ballerinas, to boats, flowers, sunshine and more, each design is carefully embroidered by hand to complement your child's garment.
How it works:
• Choose your embroidery from our available designs.
• Send us a photo of your garment, showing the area where you'd like the embroidery placed. We'll check the fabric and placement are suitable before you send it to us. DM me on 021494822
• Post your garment to us and we'll carefully embroider your chosen design by hand.
We'll send your newly embroidered piece back to you, ready for plenty more adventures.
A few things to know...
As embroidery works best on a stable fabric, we can only embroider garments made from non-stretch fabrics. Cotton, linen, denim, canvas and similar woven fabrics are generally suitable.
Before sending anything, please email/message us a clear photo of the garment and mark or indicate your desired embroidery location. We'll confirm that the fabric and placement are suitable before you send it.
Because every piece is embroidered by hand, small variations are part of the charm and make each piece completely unique.
🪡 How it's made
Each design is hand embroidered using DMC embroidery cottons.
The Little Cub standard designs are approximately 6-7 cm tall. I will embroider these in the colours in my sample pictures, unless otherwise requested.
A small piece of iron-on interfacing is applied to the reverse of the embroidery area to provide stability and help protect the stitching.
Garment condition: Please send us freshly washed garments that are free from stains, excessive wear or damage. As we work directly onto your own garment, we cannot be responsible for pre-existing damage, shrinkage, colourfastness or deterioration of the fabric during the embroidery process.
Caring for your embroidered piece
To keep your hand embroidery looking beautiful:
• Gently hand wash or machine wash on a gentle/cold cycle.
• Turn the garment inside out before washing.
• Use a mild detergent and avoid harsh stain removers or bleach around the embroidery.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Air dry naturally, preferably flat or on a hanger depending on the garment.
• Avoid ironing directly over the embroidery. If ironing is needed, turn the garment inside out and use a low/medium heat setting.
Lead time: as each piece is embroidered by hand, please allow me 2-3 weeks from the date I receive your item. This allows me time to prepare, embroider and finish your one-of-a-kind piece. If I have an influx of garments I will contact you about an extended leadtime.
